Brief History

The organisation was set up in 1982 by Elisabeth Jenkins, one of our committee members, who realised the need for a service to assist the elderly and infirm with transport to appointments such as hospitals, doctors etc. The service was welcomed and rapidly took off and over the years it has continued to thrive. In the year to March 2011 a total of 88 volunteers completed 882 jobs.
